The Business Culture HEY is expanding across Hull & East Yorkshire — and we’re delighted to announce four new regional sub-groups for Beverley, Market Weighton, Brough and Hornsea.

The new groups will be led by:

Leanne Richardson – Beverley
Mark Sanchez-Garcia – Market Weighton
Alison Lambert of The HR GURU – Brough
Natalie Lakin of ShoreHR – Hornsea

All four will become regional Sub-Group Ambassadors, helping us take The Business Culture ethos into their local areas.

After 10 years of helping, connecting and supporting businesses across Hull & East Yorkshire, this is an exciting next step for The Business Culture and one we have been planning carefully.

Our three existing Hull sub-groups — Marvell, Venn and Murdoch — have shown us just how powerful smaller, consistent groups can be when they are built around genuine relationships rather than targets, league tables or forced referrals.

Now we’re taking that same ethos into new areas.

Something different to traditional networking

The new Beverley, Market Weighton, Brough and Hornsea groups will meet twice a month and follow the same values and culture as our existing sub-groups.

But this is about much more than attending two networking meetings a month.

Every member of the new groups will also become part of the wider Business Culture HEY community, giving them access to the full range of benefits, events, support, introductions, promotional opportunities and connections available across the club.

That wider community is what makes our sub-groups different.

We don’t believe networking should be about pressure to pass referrals or prove your worth every week.

We believe business happens naturally when people build trust, get to know each other properly and develop strong working relationships.

It’s about connection, collaboration, visibility and support.

And, above all, making sure no one feels alone in business.

Meet our Beverley Sub-Group Ambassador – Leanne Richardson

Leanne said:

“I’m genuinely honoured to be leading the Beverley group. Running a business can feel lonely at times, and I know how much it means to have people around you who want you to do well.

Tony and Michelle have spent ten years showing what’s possible when you build a business community on real relationships rather than pressure, and I’m proud to help carry those values into Beverley. I can’t wait to welcome local business owners and help them feel supported, seen and part of something bigger.”

Leanne will help us build a welcoming and supportive group for businesses in and around Beverley, becoming the local face of The Business Culture and helping members create stronger relationships within the area.

Meet our Market Weighton Sub-Group Ambassador – Mark Sanchez-Garcia

Mark said:

“I’ve always believed in building relationships in a natural, non-forced way. People buy people, and there is nothing more powerful when it comes to business and marketing.

I’ve networked for many years and I’ve never come across a business community that does more to connect businesses across Hull and East Yorkshire. I’m really excited to take on the Ambassador role in Market Weighton and look forward to meeting new members and visitors from across the area.”

Mark will lead our new Market Weighton group, helping us bring together businesses from the town and surrounding areas and create another strong local Business Culture community.

Meet our Brough Sub-Group Ambassador – Alison Lambert, The HR GURU

Alison is already an established member of The Business Culture HEY and will now take the lead on our new Brough sub-group.

Her knowledge of the local business community, enthusiasm for building relationships and understanding of The Business Culture ethos make her a great fit to help us grow the group in Brough and the surrounding area.

Alison said:

“Having tried other networking groups before joining The Business Culture HEY, I can honestly say I’ve never felt more at home. The wider group and the sub-groups really help you build great local connections, and people genuinely care about you as an individual rather than someone just to sell to.

The regular social and networking events make The Business Culture even better, and I’ve absolutely made some friends for life. I’m beyond excited (and honoured) to bring this to Brough and can’t wait to help build The Business Culture group in my local community.”

Alison will help create another welcoming, supportive local group where businesses can build genuine relationships while also benefiting from everything available across the wider Business Culture HEY community.

Meet our Hornsea Sub-Group Ambassador – Natalie Lakin, ShoreHR

Natalie Lakin of ShoreHR will lead our new Hornsea sub-group, bringing local businesses together to build meaningful connections, share experiences and support one another.

Natalie said:

“I’m excited to be leading the new Hornsea Sub-Group and look forward to building meaningful business relationships based on genuine connections and real support that go beyond traditional networking.

The Business Culture HEY creates real value for its members, and that’s why I love being part of it. I can’t wait to welcome businesses to our new Hornsea group and help them discover the connections, support and opportunities that being part of this wider business community brings.”

Natalie will help establish a friendly, supportive group for businesses in Hornsea and the surrounding area, connecting them with the opportunities and wider community of The Business Culture HEY.
