The Focus Group Gathering gives Business Culture members a relaxed, supportive space to talk things through, share what’s on their mind or simply take a breather. There’s no pressure to speak and no expectation to have all the answers.
What is The Focus Group Gathering?
It’s an informal, gently facilitated gathering where business owners and leaders can connect and speak openly about the challenges that come with running a business.
There’s no formal agenda or presentation, just time for honest conversation and a little breathing space.
Who is it for?
The sessions are open to members of The Business Culture HEY.
What happens during the session?
You might share a challenge, talk about something that’s been on your mind, listen to others’ experiences or simply enjoy being in supportive company.
Every gathering is different, with the conversation shaped by the people in the room. There’s nothing to prepare and no pressure to contribute.
What might I get out of attending?
You may leave with a fresh perspective, practical ideas or reassurance that you’re not alone. It’s an opportunity to reflect, recharge and feel supported by people who understand the pressures of business life.
Is it a networking event?
No. The Gathering isn’t about exchanging business cards, generating leads or finding your next client.
It’s about human connection and being able to show up as yourself, without feeling you always need to be the person with the answers.
Can I speak openly, and are conversations confidential?
You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.
Confidentiality is central to the Gathering. Everyone is asked to respect each other’s privacy and keep personal stories and conversations within the group. This shared commitment helps build trust and creates a space for open, honest conversation.
Is there a cost?
No. The sessions are free to attend.
Do I need to attend every session?
There’s no obligation to attend every time. Come when you can, although you may find it reassuring to see familiar faces and build connections over time.

On-street parking is available around the building for up to three hours, with several car parks nearby.
Please note that the session takes place on the top floor, which is accessed by stairs. There is no lift.
