Focus Counselling Services is a leading provider of NHS talking therapies, employee assistance programmes, and counselling training across the Yorkshire and Humber region.
The challenge
The company is growing quickly. We currently have 27 staff and plan to employ a further ten people over the next year. We needed to formalise our HR function and were keen to form a relationship with a local supplier. It was important to us that the company we worked with both knew the region and shared our values. How we worked with Humber HR People
We have retained Humber HR People to provide all our HR services. We pay a monthly fee.
The team has streamlined all our HR practices, and we also benefit from their online system, which has made our lives much easier. As well as looking after all our day-to-day needs, they have helped us with specific projects, including helping to redefine job roles.
The result
The team is approachable, knowledgeable, and friendly.
We receive excellent service, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others.
The HR service is much more than ensuring we are compliant. For example, the team offers a monthly lunch meeting which is great for networking with other businesses in the area, discussing specific HR issues, and sharing knowledge.
