Rank regeneration of Hull

A giant gong was the centre of celebrations at the birthplace of British film maker J. Arthur Rank in Hull, when the doors re-opened to provide affordable homes for local people as part of an Empty Homes Initiative. The giant gong marked the completion of a unique renovation project, as an homage to the opening titles of Rank Film Corporation.

Divine Clark PR provides a full PR service to Probe, a not-for-profit company that is working with local businesses to refurbish derelict properties and provide vital skills and work experience to students in partnership with Hull College.

The Rank house had become a blight on the local landscape and it now proudly represents the quality of the programme of regeneration in preparation for the UK City of Culture 2017. It also provides a lasting legacy to J. Arthur Rank the Hull-born movie mogul and industrialist.
