Recently, Alfie joined the team for a work experience placement to gain a real insight into the role. During his time with the business, he didn’t just observe; he contributed.
One of Alfie’s key tasks has been preparing lift plans for timber frame sites and uploading them to the shared drive so crane bookings can be arranged. It’s an important step in the workflow and a great example of how work experience learners can make a genuine impact on day-to-day operations.
For the team at K & G Yorkshire, offering work experience is also a great way to identify future talent. It allows both the business and the individual to see whether the role is the right fit before progressing to an apprenticeship. Following a successful placement, Alfie progressed on to the Data & AI Administrator apprenticeship with the company.
