ACA is delighted that plans for a new Community Diagnostic Centre in Scunthorpe have been accepted and will go ahead!
Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) reappointed ACA to design the £19.4 million new build in Scunthorpe town centre. The "state-of-the-art" building will significantly improve access to diagnostic services for people in the area, without the need to travel to hospital. The Centre will offer a range of diagnostic services, including MRI and CT scanners, ultrasound, X-rays and blood tests.
Needless to say, our design focuses on providing healthcare comforts and clinical excellence to benefit the patients' physical and emotional wellbeing. The concept takes inspiration from the wave silhouettes of the Ultra-sound tissue harmonic imaging. Interestingly, ultra-sound waves are the simplest form of the diagnostic waves in detecting the birth of a new life.
