As bronze sponsors of the Hull and East Riding Children’s University, ACA recently hosted 12 children from Thorpepark Primary School at their Beverley office, offering an immersive glimpse into the world of architecture.

The children were warmly welcomed by Directors Alex and Amelia Caruso and the ACA team.
During their visit, the children learned about various job roles within the office and participated in a fun team-building activity, the 'spaghetti tower marshmallow challenge,' which encouraged them to explore the design process. Director Alex, along with team members Sonia and Hazar, joined in the challenge, displaying even more enthusiasm than some of the children!
The ACA design team then delivered a presentation on the principles of good design and tasked the children with designing their own school, which they later presented. The day was filled with questions, ideas, and collaborative problem-solving, emphasizing teamwork and creative thinking.

Amelia Caruso praised the children, saying, “We were all really impressed with how well-behaved, engaged, and interested the children were, and their designs were amazing.”
