Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work

Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work.

Monday 6th December in Hull

The course covers the following:

• Roles and responsibilities of the first aider
• Minimising risk in an emergency situation
• Managing an unresponsive casualty
• Safe airway positions
• Dealing with seizures
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use of AEDs
• Dealing with choking
• Treatment for bleeding and shock
• Appropriate first aid kit use
• Minor injuries at work including burns
• Completing accident forms

Course Duration & Assessment:

The training and assessment typically consists of a one day (6+ hour) course leading to the qualification and students are assessed continuously by tutor observation of ‘real-life’ skills.

This certificate is valid for three years. Certificate renewal is by completion of another Emergency First Aid at Work training course.
