Founded by myself Craig, the business began modestly from my kitchen table, where i created and sold a range of luxury items live on social media—engaging customers directly through dynamic online broadcasts that showcased high-quality gifts and celebratory products to an enthusiastic online audience.
Fueled by passion and rising interest, i expanded my reach by taking my offerings to local markets across Hull and nearby areas. These stalls enabled me to build strong community connections, gather feedback, and grow a dedicated following through personal service and consistent quality for life's special moments.
Spotting greater opportunities, i strategically shifted focus to develop the card and balloon side of the business. Balloons emerged as a key strength, with offerings including helium-filled designs, bespoke designs, arches, table clusters, and elaborate setups tailored for birthdays, weddings, baby showers, corporate functions, and more. This pivot aligned perfectly with demand for vibrant, personalized decorations, paired with a wide, affordable selection of greeting cards and complementary gifts.

My evolution—from kitchen-table live sales of luxury items to a thriving storefront—demonstrates resilience, customer insight, and forward-thinking growth, ensuring special occasions remain joyful and unforgettable for the community.

Patisserie House is an independent bakery and chocolate shop based in the heart of Hull, specialising in handmade pastries, artisan bread, and handcrafted chocolates. Everything is made on-site using quality ingredients, with a focus on flavour, creativity, and consistency.
Alongside the day-to-day offering of fresh bakes, cakes, and savoury items, Patisserie House also creates bespoke chocolate pieces and centrepieces for special occasions. The shop has recently expanded to include a comfortable seating area, allowing customers to relax and enjoy their food and drinks in-house.
Patisserie House also runs a growing programme of hands-on workshops, including bread making, chocolate creation, and more advanced artistic skills such as chocolate flowers, with future plans to introduce sugar art classes.
