As you may of seen in the latest budget, The Chancellor announced that businesses can now receive additional funding for recruiting Apprentices.
The 2 main headlines are:
£3000 incentive for apprentices of any age
£4000 for an apprentice aged 16-18
Although apprentices can be used for employees aged 16-18 year olds, apprenticeships are for EVERYONE.
You can recruit an apprentice at any age, into any job role and any salary level.
You may want an experienced person as this fits the needs of the business, this is fine. You will be able to recruit this employee and enroll them onto an apprenticeship and receive £3000. This must be a newly created PAYE role to be able to claim the incentives.
There are several levels of qualifications from level 2 which is entry level right through to level 7 which is the equivalent of a master’s degree.
