Connor first started as an admin apprentice at the age of 16 and in recent years, took the plunge and began his Level 3 Digital Marketing apprenticeship at Bell4Business. He was eager to learn but had no prior experience or qualifications in marketing. Over the y
ears, through a rich blend of hands-on experience, personal perseverance, and a deep commitment to self-development, Connor now proudly holds the title of Executive Director—an extraordinary testament to his unwavering dedication.
Connor embarked on his Digital Marketing Level 3 Apprenticeship with the goal of broadening his skill set in areas such as social media management, website management, and SEO. Though these areas presented initial challenges, Connor tackled them head-on, developing a solid foundation that has propelled him to professional success.
Through the apprenticeship, Connor:
Gaining expertise in essential digital marketing concepts allowed him to communicate more clearly and effectively with clients and colleagues.
He became proficient in website management and SEO, applying his newfound knowledge to optimise the Bell4Business website.
With enhanced clarity in presenting complex ideas, Connor is now more prepared to tackle challenges, connect with clients, and take on greater responsibilities.
These achievements didn’t go unnoticed. Connor’s dedication earned him recognition as a finalist in the East Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards for Advanced Apprentice, a milestone that speaks volumes about his commitment to excellence.
When Connor began his apprenticeship, he faced steep learning curves in areas such as website management and SEO. However, through determination and the support of the program, he overcame these challenges, turning them into strengths. His resilience and drive to continuously improve have shaped not only his own career but also the future of Bell4Business.
When asking Connor what he would say to others considering an apprenti
ceship, he told us, “I’d say go for it! An apprenticeship is a great way to gain real experience while learning valuable skills. It's hands-on, so you’re constantly applying what you learn, and you get to build confidence in a supportive environment. If you want to grow in your field and make a real impact, an apprenticeship is definitely worth considering.”
Connor’s success has had a ripple effect on Bell4Business. His promotion to Executive Director has energised the team and demonstrated the incredible potential of combining hard work with continuous learning. From managing external marketing promotions to building client relationships, Connor’s contributions have added immense value to the business.

Louise also stated that Connor has brought so much energy and fresh thinking to Bell4Business. He’s helped us grow by not only managing our team and clients but also putting in the hard work behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. This decision felt like the natural next step in our evolution, and I couldn’t be prouder of Connor’s journey. His passion, dedication, and leadership have been a huge asset to Bell4Business, and I’m excited to see where we go from here.”
