Vicki Robinson, Deputy Director of the Miscarriage Association, will join us to talk about the facts and feelings around pregnancy loss, how to create a supportive work environment and practical hints and tips to support a staff member going through it. A Q&A section will follow.

The Miscarriage Association is a national charity which provides support and information to anyone affected by pregnancy loss. It runs a staffed helpline, live chat and email service and online and in-person peer support groups. It also promotes best care, working with the NHS and other health professionals, contributes to research and development and works to raise general awareness of the impact of pregnancy loss. In addition, it offers training and consultancy services in healthcare and workplace settings.

Vicki Robinson joined the Miscarriage Association almost three years ago and when she is not deputising for the National Director, she leads on the charity’s partnership and development work. She has a special interest in pregnancy loss and the workplace. Previously she was the director of a cancer and children’s charity, establishing a bereavement support service for the under 11s. She has also worked in charity communications and was a journalist for 18 years.
