If you’re looking for networking events in Hull and the surrounding areas, then the next date for your diary has to be Humber Business Week 2019, taking place this year between June 3rd and 7th.
Biz Week, as it is affectionately known, serves to showcase the region’s diverse wealth of talent and entrepreneurship, as well as the area’s future potential through an interesting programme of events intended to both inspire and educate.
Some of the biggest business players in the region will be on hand throughout the week, so it really is the perfect opportunity to network and make some serious contacts in your industry. Just make sure that you bring your business cards as you’re sure to be handing lots of them out.
There will be two guest speakers at this year’s event – Dr Paul Sewell, one of the founders of Biz Week, and Lee Pitcher, Yorkshire Water’s head of resilience. Other high profile speakers include Lord Alan Sugar and former England football manager Kevin Keegan.
Chair of Humber Business Week Kath Lavery said: “We have some very big name speakers and big issues being tackled, from Brexit and climate change to social mobility and lobbying parliament.
“Never before have we had a programme so relative to the key issues impacting on business, and so many great speakers who can give a real insight into those matters.”
The first day of the event, dubbed Destination Monday, will take place at the KCOM Stadium, starting with the annual Bondholders Breakfast and including the IOD Humber Luncheon, as well as the Bank of England’s assessment of the economy.
