‘NICE ONE’ – MEET HULL’S NEWEST BUSINESS MOBILE PROVIDER

Dave Spittlehouse

Any business that has experienced the hassle and expense of dropped calls, dealing with national or even international call centres and hefty monthly mobile phone bills, will understand the importance of finding the right business phone provider.

Which is exactly what new Hull start-up Simpatico Communications aims to be.

Run by Dave Spittlehouse, a familiar figure on the local networking circuit, who boasts two decades of experience in mobile phone provision, the company was founded in March this year. And according to Dave, the early signs are extremely positive.

“We’re already very busy,” he said.

“And added to that, we’re in talks with a number of very substantial companies about potential future contracts.

“We’ve really grateful for the amount of support we’ve had from the East Yorkshire business community. Many local businesses have experienced the kind of personal service I aim to provide and have therefore been able to refer new business to us with confidence.”

Dave previously worked for a national mobile provider, but he decided this year was the time to fulfil a longstanding ambition to own and run his own company.

The venture is supported by Eric Hartley and his team from Beverley-based ELK Marketing, who are helping with the promotion of Simpatico.

Those who know Dave will be aware that he offers a bespoke and reliable business mobile phone service to businesses large and small. In line with this reputation, Sympatico’s outstanding features include:

  • Competitive prices
  • Proactive, personalised support
  • Clear communications
  • Simplified business mobile arrangements, combining multiple networks one contract, to best suit different business locations and ensure the best signal
  • Employee activity tracking via their mobile phone, for productivity and misuse monitoring
  • Best advice on style, quality and cost of handsets and other mobile technology, from years of experience

“A lot of times, companies – particularly the larger ones – think they have to deal with the major mobile phone providers directly but, as many of them will have experienced, this can be time consuming and stressful,” said Dave.

“Their call centres are often abroad and the volume of enquiries they receive can mean them sitting on hold for long periods at a time.

“What we do is act as the ‘middle man’. The customer benefits from experienced advice tailored to their needs and then the simplicity of a single, simple bill once a month. And the bonus is that we are the ones who take responsibility for liaising with the mobile providers on their behalf, and resolving any issues that arise.

“Put simply, we aim to be nice and make the experience of sorting out a business’s mobile communications a pleasant one, rather than being fraught with hassle.”

Dave added: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring the next tBC Hull cultural event, and it’s great to be on board and working with this influential networking group’s members to really make a difference to the local business scene.”

Simpatico is sponsoring the next The Business Culture Hull evening cultural business networking event, on Tuesday 13 June from 6pm to 9pm at Fruit on Humber Street. It will feature music by rapper Chiedu Oraka.
