Most inspiring member of the month – AMFA Training

The Business Culture Hull is pleased to announce that the third ‘Most Inspiring Member of the Month’ award goes to Allison Middlemas from AMFA Training.

The award is presented to the member who not only attends the networking events but has also taken advantage of all the other benefits on offer to all members such as, using the website to promote their good news stories and engaging with Tony Bowler, MD of The Business Culture Hull, in order to make new business connections.

The award was presented to Allison in front of a packed audience at the last networking event at Fruit on Tuesday 13th June.

Allison was delighted to receive the award, “It was so unexpected to be given this award! Tony and I have worked together quite a lot recently and he has been really supportive in my business needs so to be recognised for all the hard work is really a pleasure. Business has undertaken a lot of changes in 2017 and I am really excited for the plans we have for the next half of the year. I know that the support from The Business Culture and its members will be instrumental in what we are hoping to achieve.”

Juggling a very busy home life with a growing business has its challenges but one Allison takes in her stride, she truly deserves this award.

AMFA Training delivers first aid training and certification to local businesses from specialised training facilities in Hull. Allison is able to train employees in emergency first aid, first aid at work and paediatric first aid as well as a specialised course in canine first aid, so even your furry friends can be protected!

As well as working commercially, Allison is also certified as a first aid trainer for the FA, the RFU and the RFL, which means she is often driving all over the country delivering training for sports teams. As the mother of 4 rugby mad boys, Allison takes a personal interest in safeguarding those in the world of sport, she is a champion of ensuring young people are fully prepared should an incident occur. As a former member of the ambulance service Allison is well aware of the stress felt when arriving at an accident and in her training for the sports teams as well as those within the workplace, Allison teaches not just the practical elements of first aid administration but also how to handle the situation and those around you.

Part of the service Allison offers is not just providing training services but also auditing and providing ongoing support within the workplace so businesses are compliant and confident should the unexpected occur. Full records are also kept on behalf of the businesses AMFA works with so when certification has expired Allison is able to update you and arrange the next suitable training service.

The next step for AMFA is a big one but something really exciting, it will again show Allison’s ethics in the importance of first aid training and will give businesses and local people something they can be a key part of. More information will be announced at a later date!
