ACA’s remodelling of Longhill Health Centre in Hull is now complete and space has been optimised to the maximum!
Citycare appointed ACA to remodel the £4M state of the art, Longhill Health Centre with forever-changing GP practices’ models of care in mind. The brief was to incorporate flexible work spaces to meet the existing building users’ needs and maximise efficiencies.
The creation of extra work space on the ground floor has enabled 4 GP practices to merge, with fully equipped clinical and treatment rooms.
The local community also benefits from an onsite library and pharmacy.
Furthermore, the Longhill Health Centre remodelling features carefully selected artwork, to enhance reception and waiting areas. Consequently this improves the overall experience of patients, staff and the visitors.
Alex Caruso, MD and Principal Architect at ACA, said, “It was a real pleasure to work with the Citycare and Sewell team to achieve therapeutic spaces appropriate for all building users.”
Issy Whitelock, Assistant Development Manager at Citycare, said, “ACA were a pleasure to work with throughout the reconfiguration works at Longhill Health Centre. They were responsive and their knowledge on health estate meant the design process ran smoothly. We look forward to working with them again in the future.”
