With two air support units based at Nostell near Wakefield and RAF Topcliffe near Thirsk, YAA\u2019s helicopters can reach even the most remote locations within 20 minutes, bringing expert critical care to those who need it most.<\/p>\n<p>As an independent charity, YAA relies entirely on public donations to keep its helicopters in the air and its crews at the frontline of emergency care. Every mission is only possible thanks to the generosity of its supporters. And in 2024, that support helped achieve incredible things.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Delivering Critical Care When It Matters Most<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Last year, YAA\u2019s critical care teams provided lifesaving care to more than 1,300 patients across Yorkshire, bringing hospital-level treatment directly to the scene. The charity\u2019s highly skilled team delivered 417 lifesaving interventions and transported 949 patients to hospitals and major trauma centres for further urgent specialist treatment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Powered by Supporters, for Yorkshire<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For 25 years, Yorkshire Air Ambulance has been at the heart of communities across the region, providing hope in the most difficult moments.
