In fact, we trust the platform so much that we\u2019ve invested significant time and focus into gaining Xero Silver Partner Champion status, which reflects our dedication to helping our clients get the most from it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Today we received an email from Xero telling us that it will soon be rolling out multi-factor authorisation, or MFA. This is in response to the increase in cyber-attacks since the pandemic began, plus MFA is advantageous anyway because it adds an extra level of security to your data. Here\u2019s how the process will work:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You\u2019ll need to download an authentication app, such as the newly launched Xero Verify.<\/li>\n<li>When you log into Xero using your password, you\u2019ll also receive a push notification from Xero Verify on your phone to make sure it\u2019s really you trying to log in.<\/li>\n<li>Alternatively, you can use another authenticator such as Authy, which is a desktop-based application.<\/li>\n<li>Xero will also ask you to provide a backup email address, which will be used if you get locked out of your account or don\u2019t have your smartphone on you.<\/li>\n<li>If you have team members who access your Xero account, they\u2019ll each need a unique login and password to ensure ultimate levels of digital security.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s it for now! Xero will be in touch with users in April and the use of an authentication app will become mandatory shortly after that.
