Hull Kingston Rovers<\/a> are delighted to confirm the appointment of Liz Winn<\/a> as Head of Education and Business Development.<\/p>\n

The new position will focus initially on establishing an education and academic arm for the club, offering new opportunities for club partners, local businesses, players, staff and the people of East Yorkshire.<\/p>\n

Lifelong supporter Liz, spoke of her delight to join the club, \u201cThe combination of Rugby League and education is a powerful formula. This is a great opportunity for people to study with an elite professional sports club and to be taught by specialist staff. Hull KR Education will work with a range of partners to offer a variety of courses, working with local businesses, delivering bespoke Executive Education as well as offering post 16, adult and Higher Education courses. It is an exciting time at the club, I cannot wait to issue the first Hull KR Education student card.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Executive Education courses will give employees across the City an opportunity to gain valuable leadership and management knowledge and experience from some of the region\u2019s leading Chief Executives and Managing Directors. The Executive Education students will benefit from listening to real life experiences and be given the same advice that led to the success of some of Hull\u2019s leading businesses. These classes will not be delivered in an ordinary way, but instead use the facilities and resources that only a professional sports stadium can offer.<\/p>\n

Hull Kingston Rovers Chief Executive Paul Lakin is delighted to add Liz to his senior leadership team.<\/p>\n

\u201cLiz has worked in education for 17 years across many of the best educational providers in the City, more recently as Vice Principal of Hull College.<\/p>\n

Her knowledge and expertise in this area provides us an exciting opportunity to develop a new business sector for the club. Further education and training is so vitally important, for both personal and career development and we look forward to providing courses for both local businesses and the community as a whole.<\/p>\n

We have many valued educational partnerships in place already and we see this new department complimenting those, whilst providing the platform for the club to grow as a recognised quality education provider across the city of Hull.\u201d<\/p>\n
