XOS Sales Director Max Kay starts his trek on the Inca Trail in Peru this Friday. He has managed to raise \u00a33,400 of his \u00a33,900 target for Barnardo's a charity he has been supporting for 4 years.<\/p>\n

I am passionate about helping others and have volunteered for the last 4 years at Barnardo\u2019s Hull Young Carers and Sibling Support Service, which supports children and young people aged between 5-18 years who help to care for someone in their family who has an illness, disability, mental health condition or drug or alcohol dependency.<\/p>\n

Paula Dawson Service Manager said \" The valuable support Max offers as a volunteer, provides children and their families with opportunities to be listened to and have their views shape what support is provided; giving them the opportunity to meet other carers in the same position as they are. They can share experiences, which increases their confidence and learn coping strategies to achieve positive outcomes for the children and families we support\u201d.<\/p>\n

Max added \u201cI find my volunteering work with Barnardo\u2019s hugely enjoyable and take great satisfaction from making a small difference to a number of children and families in the Hull area which is why I have signed up to raise money for this fabulous charity, please give generously!!<\/p>\n
