For some learners, a traditional classroom just doesn\u2019t feel like the right fit. For Scarlett Bignell, choosing an apprenticeship was about finding a path that matched how she learns best, practical, hands-on, and real-world.<\/p>\n

Scarlett is currently completing a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship<\/strong> while working at Scooter Solutions<\/span><\/span><\/strong>. From day one, the opportunity to learn while earning and make a real impression in the workplace stood out to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted to work, earn, and develop a career at the same time,\u201d Scarlett explains. \u201cThe apprenticeship gave me the time and space to grow my skills and confidence.\u201d<\/p>\n

Learning by doing<\/h3>\n

Scarlett\u2019s role is varied and fast-paced. Her responsibilities include:<\/p>\n

    Planning and organising events such as scooter rallies and trade shows<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Supporting marketing activity and promoting the business<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Managing and developing the company website \u2014 despite having no previous web design experience<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Handling day-to-day admin tasks including invoices, ordering, and general office support<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    By stepping outside her comfort zone and pushing herself to learn new skills, Scarlett has played an active role in helping the business grow.<\/p>\n

    Support that makes a difference<\/h3>\n

    A key part of Scarlett\u2019s success has been the support around her. At work, she describes her colleagues as encouraging and approachable. At Avant Skills Academy<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, she highlights the outstanding teaching, welcoming atmosphere, and genuine care shown by tutors and support staff.<\/p>\n

    \u201cI never dread going into work or training, I actually look forward to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Building confidence for the future<\/h3>\n

    One of Scarlett\u2019s proudest achievements has been believing in herself, moving into a new workplace, tackling unfamiliar challenges, and growing in confidence, particularly in customer-facing situations.<\/p>\n
