At ACA, community engagement is a fundamental value, and Co Director Alex Caruso recently demonstrated this by volunteering with Hull and East Yorkshire Children\u2019s University, which ACA proudly sponsors.<\/p>\n

Alex spent the day with a group of enthusiastic Year 4 students from Thorpepark Primary School, taking part in an enriching \"Trawling from Hull\" experience. The children had a blast asking the public about Hull\u2019s trawling history, with one group particularly impressed when a man answered all their questions correctly\u2014until they learned he was a history teacher!<\/p>\n

Throughout the day, the students used computers in the KCOM Learning Zone to conduct research, concluding with a tour of Hull\u2019s trawling monuments. They were captivated by the fascinating maritime history of their hometown, and for many, it was their first visit to the city centre.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the day, Alessandro shared:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a privilege to spend time with such curious and eager young learners from Hull and East Yorkshire Children\u2019s University. Hull has a rich maritime heritage, and it\u2019s great to see the children engaging with this part of their city\u2019s identity in such an interactive way. I hope it inspires them to dream big and consider the many opportunities ahead.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

In the previous year, students from Hull and East Yorkshire Children\u2019s University visited ACA\u2019s office<\/a><\/strong> to explore architecture and interior design and will be returning soon!<\/p>\n
