Hull-based web design and digital marketing agency Eyeweb aims to walk 1000 miles over the month of October to raise much-needed funds for Hull Animal Welfare Trust.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The team at Eyeweb<\/a> has dubbed the challenge \u2018Walkies for Welfare<\/a>\u2019, which requires the seven members to walk the total distance in just thirty-one days.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event aims to raise \u00a31000 for Hull Animal Welfare Trust<\/a>, a charity dedicated to finding homes for abandoned and mistreated animals.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Paul Scott, Managing Director of Eyeweb said: \u201cAs pet parents ourselves, Hull Animal Welfare Trust holds a special place in our hearts. Walkies for Welfare is a great way for us to push ourselves and get active, while helping a charity to continue their incredible work. We\u2019re excited to give something back to our community.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Why Hull Animal Welfare Trust?<\/h2>\n

Hull Animal Welfare Trust has been active since 1982, and has since rehomed over 30,000 pets. As costs rise, fundraisers like Walkies for Welfare are crucial the survival these non-profit organisations.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"We really appreciate the team at Eyeweb for doing this fundraiser to help the animals in our care.\u201d Said Natalie Rhodes of Hull Animal Welfare Trust. \u201cTimes are very tough currently and we cannot thank them enough for choosing to support us.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In a recent post on Facebook, the charity echoed the same thoughts: \u201cOur funding is solely from public donations - we do not receive any government or official funding help...we have to be very, very careful with outgoings.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Local gift hamper company Peach Hampers<\/a> is the first business to sponsor the Walkies for Welfare challenge, providing a premium gift hamper worth \u00a368 that can be won by a lucky donor. Anyone who donates \u00a310 or more during October will be automatically entered into the raffle.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is currently one spot left for an additional sponsor, which is done through a donation of \u00a3250.<\/span><\/p>\n
