{"id":1893,"date":"2016-08-04T13:59:17","date_gmt":"2016-08-04T13:59:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thebusinessculture.co.uk\/hey\/do-something-that-scares-you-everyday\/"},"modified":"2016-08-04T13:59:17","modified_gmt":"2016-08-04T13:59:17","slug":"do-something-that-scares-you-everyday","status":"publish","type":"good-news","link":"https:\/\/thebusinessculture.co.uk\/hey\/good-news\/do-something-that-scares-you-everyday\/","title":{"rendered":"Do something that scares you everyday!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"\">After turning blue for Sea of Hull, Jess Clark from Divine Clark PR is saying \u2018Yes\u2019 and challenging herself to do things she has never done before.<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">Her company, Divine Clark PR is working with Beverley Building Society to publicise activity for its 150th Anniversary and as part of the celebrations, the Society is supporting a charity partner, Action Duchenne, which is seeking a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a life limiting condition affecting boys.<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">Jess says:<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\u201cThe Head of Operations at Beverley Building Society has a son with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, so I really wanted to take up a challenge myself.\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\u201cMy husband thinks I\u2019m having a mid life crisis. We both turned 40 this year and now I am signing up for anything and everything. The Sea of Hull event was a major achievement for me, walking around naked is the stuff of nightmares but once we were all naked, it was like no-one was and I am delighted to have been a part of it, to be able to say I was there.\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\u201cI have always wanted to do a skydive but I am genuinely terrified of heights, I got physical symptoms of dizziness, sickness and stomach cramps, just walking across the Humber Bridge. I have thought a lot about what it will be like to look down out of the plane and see the land below, but I really want to raise money for Action Duchenne, it\u2019s a great charity and so I think all the worry will be worth it.\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\u201cI have decided to just say yes to things and I have also signed up to sing with the Freedom Festival Chorus, along with fellow Business Culture member, Julie Ball.
