Nurturing the names behind the numbers, Yorkshire accountancy firm, Smailes Goldie Group, is returning to the apprenticeship stage with its annual Recruitment Open Evening.<\/p>\n

The event, set to take place on 12 February 2024, comes at the end of National Apprenticeship Week and reaffirms an ongoing commitment to provide opportunities to passionate, talented individuals.<\/p>\n

Held at the firm\u2019s Princess Street offices in Hull, the Recruitment Evening will provide graduates and college leavers with an insight into the life of a trainee accountant, routes into the sector and relevant qualifications.<\/p>\n

Attendees will also be encouraged to apply for the firm\u2019s highly successful training programme, which last year saw the firm recruit 16 trainees due to the firm\u2019s continued growth and success.<\/p>\n

Smailes Goldie Group celebrates its 125th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary in 2024, with team members taking the opportunity to look back at the career progression afforded to them by the firm\u2019s innovative approach to trainees.<\/p>\n

With 91 per cent of Partners being promoted internally and many beginning as trainees with the firm, it comes as no surprise that Smailes Goldie Group is repeatedly popular among apprentices in the region.<\/p>\n

It also currently ranks 18th<\/sup>\u00a0out of the Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers in 2023 \u2013 an achievement which recognises the diversity, success and innovation of apprenticeship employers.<\/p>\n

Seeking to continue this trend and build on its reputation as an employer, the firm offers a number of additional benefits to its trainees, including full study support, social events and opportunities for secondment to other departments.<\/p>\n
